We continue to work in the garden on our Brightmoor campus. In past summers we have created three other gardens in the community.

During the summer, we gather from 9:00 to noon every Saturday morning.  We welcome help from the community and other volunteers to work in the garden each summer.

In 2014, a Boy Scout troop purchased and installed an irrigation system for the garden. Click on the photo below for a slideshow of this project.

We created our first community garden here on our grounds at the Brightmoor campus during the summer of 2013.  That fall we expanded the size of the garden so we had even more produce to share in 2014.

The front part of the garden is a spiritual garden with an inspirational plaque on the stump in the center.  Around it there is a cross of white stones with paths leading up to the cross.  There are 7 planting beds around the cross and plaque:  kale, greens, peas, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.  The back part of the garden is high-yield vegetables like 2 varieties of tomatoes.

Each summer we share  our produce with the neighborhood.
